We, Camps in Common (CIC), are the operatiors of Oakland Feather River Camp which has been a vacation destination for families, children and adults seeking relaxation, recreation, fun and friendship since 1924! To learn more about the history of FRC, click here.

CIC is a non-profit corporation, founded in 2003 with the mission to promote and celebrate connections between nature, family and community at Oakland Feather River Camp in the Plumas National Forest. We create unique opportunities to advance environmental awareness, cultural diversity, and youth empowerment. We are commited to benefiting the residents of Oakland and the surrounding Bay Area through programs, partnerships, and providing opportunities for growth and development. Employment

Camps in Common is looking to hire summer staff. We provide room and board and a wonderful staff community in which to live, learn and work hard for the summer session. We will be hiring for the following positions:

  • Recreation staff to plan and supervise activities for children and families under the supervision of our Recreation Manager
  • Children/Teen Camp staff
  • Kitchen helpers (food prep, kitchen “hoppers”, buffet set-up and clean-up)
  • Housekeepers
  • Maintenance Crew
  • Camp helpers
